Celje - Chapel at Mary's below Srebotnik (on Celje mountain trail)

Access to starting point:
Celje, the third largest Slovenian town accessible from several sides. You park somewhere between the railway station and the bridge through river Savinja in the direction of Laško. The problem could be, because the parking lots are mainly payable... if you come by train, these problems fall away.

Path description:
We start at the bridge over Savinja at the sign with panorama image of Celje hills. The path is practically to the end except few ten meters before the end also the initial part of CPP - Celje mountain trail. In the first part we walk on the path between the river Savinja and the railway track to the confluence of the rivers Voglajna and Savinja. We continue over a bridge and under the railway track to the right and further on the path Pelikanova pot on castle Stari grad.
From the castle we continue left steeply uphill past the inn and we follow a well-hardened path through the settlement Osenca. We follow a pleasant path, partly also the road and soon from the left joins the path from the settlement Teharje. We continue on the asphalt path through the settlement Pečovje and we follow the turn-offs mainly to the right, which are very well marked with signposts.
In the forest part from the left joins also the mountain path from Štore. We continue on the forest road through a smaller plain by two or three houses/holiday cottages and then we go once again left on a little narrower forest path partly also a cart track. The path is then again a little steeper ascending and on the left side there are also some steel cables, more in the function of a fence.
We soon reach the crossing. We continue left, while straight upwards there is also a sign CPP or caption peak Srebotnik on the trunk of the tree and signposts. Here we leave CPP and to the left in few ten meters lightly downwards we reach the destination.
The path measures around 5500 meters, 500 positive altitude meters and 240 negative altitude meters.
