Dom Pristava in Javorniški Rovt - Barentaler Kotschna/Struška (by road)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lipce and follow the road ahead in the direction of Jesenice. When we come to the traffic light crossroad, where we join an old road, we continue right in the direction of Žirovnica. And we follow this road only a short time because at the next little larger crossroad (traffic light) we continue left in the direction of Javorniški Rovt. The road then goes through the underpass (railway) and then turns left (right Koroška Bela). The road that higher starts ascending steeply we follow in the direction of Javorniški Rovt. The mentioned road, we then follow to the parking lot near the mountain hut.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the mountain hut, and then we continue the ascent on at first poorly visible path, which ascends on the left side of swampy lake. Ahead clearly visible and wide path, after 5 minutes of walking, it brings us to the road, where there is also a crossing.
We go right in the direction of Golica (left Javorniški Rovt, straight Španov vrh and Jelenkamen) and we continue the ascent on the road which at first leads past a larger pond, and then turns to the right and brings us out of the forest. When we step out of the forest, a view towards Struška opens up, Medji dol and part of Belščica. The road which is then moderately ascending, higher returns into the forest and crosses bigger gully, behind which we soon get to a marked crossroad.
Here we leave the road which turns left and continues towards Križovec and we continue straight on less beaten road. From the crossroad, we walk on the road only two more minutes, and then blazes point us to the left on a cart track which starts ascending steeper through the forest. After few minutes of the ascent, the path flattens and out of the forest brings us on meadows of Pusti rovt, where we also join road from Križovec. Here we continue straight on a gently sloping road, on which we quickly get to the near shepherd hut.
We continue past the mentioned cottages to the other side of the mountain pasture, where the road turns right and then in few minutes brings us to a crossroad at torrent. We go on the right road which crosses a cart track towards the saddle Kočna (left Golica). Ahead we again run into the gate which we bypass on the left side. Only few ten meters ahead we get to another gate. The road ahead is ascending in a diagonal ascent towards the east mostly through the forest. Few minutes before the mountain pasture road passes out of the forest on a grazing area of Struška and makes a sharp left turn from which we have only few steps to cottages on the mountain pasture.
From the hut, we continue towards the east at first only slightly upwards. After five minutes of walking from the hut path brings us to less steep gully, where we continue left on a poorly visible unmarked path (straight mountain pasture Seča).
Further, we are ascending on with grass vegetated gully, which is surrounded by dwarf pines. Still hard to follow footpath on the top of this gully turns right on ample slopes of Struška. The path ahead in a moderate ascent crosses southwestern slopes of Struška, which are partly covered with dwarf pines (because the path is hard to follow we can quickly go astray into dwarf pines). A little below the summit "path" brings us on a ridge which we follow to the peak.
