Dom Pristava in Javorniški Rovt - Belska planina (Svečica) (footpath)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lipce and follow the road ahead in the direction of Jesenice. When we come to the traffic light crossroad, where we join an old road, we continue right in the direction of Žirovnica. And we follow this road only a short time because at the next little larger crossroad (traffic light) we continue left in the direction of Javorniški Rovt. The road then goes through the underpass (railway) and then turns left (right Koroška Bela). The road that higher starts ascending steeply we follow in the direction of Javorniški Rovt. The mentioned road, we then follow to the parking lot near the mountain hut.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the mountain hut, and then we continue the ascent on at first poorly visible path, which ascends on the left side of swampy lake. Ahead clearly visible and wide path, after 5 minutes of walking, it brings us to the road, where there is also a crossing.
We go right in the direction of Golica (left Javorniški Rovt, straight Španov vrh and Jelenkamen) and we continue the ascent on the road which at first leads past a larger pond, and then turns to the right and brings us out of the forest. When we step out of the forest, a view towards Struška opens up, Medji dol and part of Belščica. The road which is then moderately ascending, higher returns into the forest and crosses bigger gully, behind which we soon get to a marked crossroad.
Here we leave the road which turns left and continues towards Križovec and we continue straight on less beaten road. From the crossroad, we walk on the road only two more minutes, and then blazes point us to the left on a cart track which starts ascending steeper through the forest. After few minutes of the ascent, the path flattens and out of the forest brings us on meadows of Pusti rovt, where we also join road from Križovec. Here we continue straight on a gently sloping road, on which we quickly get to the near shepherd hut.
From the shepherd hut, we continue on the road, and in the upper part Pusti Rovt it turns right in the forest. And only a little further we come at the marked crossing, where we continue slightly right (left Golica) on a moderately steep path, which only a few meters higher crosses relatively new road which leads to the mountain pasture Belska planina - Svečica. The mentioned road, we only cross and we continue the ascent on a marked path, which soon passes out of the forest on panoramic slopes below the saddle Sedlo Kočna. We continue the ascent past a smaller hunting cottage, behind which we soon come to watering place for animals. Only a short ascent follows and the path brings us on a saddle Sedlo Kočna, from which a nice view opens up on the Austrian side.
On the saddle, we continue right in the direction of Struška (left Golica and Ptičji vrh) on a relatively gently sloping path which continues by the main ridge. After few minutes, the path starts ascending steeper and then turns sharply to the right, where in a diagonal ascent crosses slopes towards the right. Higher, the path from a lane of a thin forest and bushes brings us on a panoramic ridge, where after few 10 meters of additional ascent, we cross a grazing fence.
Immediately after we crossed grazing fence, the footpath splits into two parts. We continue on the right bottom and marked path (slightly left Struška on a ridge or on and by the national border), which then crosses slopes towards the southeast. The path ahead for some time continues through the forest and then passes into a lane of dwarf pines, where it again starts considerably ascending. Higher, the path for a short time again returns into the forest and then passes on a grazing area of the mountain pasture Belska planina - Svečica. Here we continue slightly left and after few minutes of additional walking, we get to the shepherd hut on the mentioned mountain pasture.
