Galerija Berebica in Trenta - Trentski Pelc (Old military road - Trentski Pelc)

Access to starting point:
A) From the direction Bovec we drive towards Trenta, where we park about 300 meters ahead from the tunnel Galerija Berebica.
B) On the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to Kranjska Gora, over the mountain pass Vršič to Trenta towards Bovec, where we park about 300 meters before the tunnel Galerija Berebica.

Path description:
We start in Trenta where on the left side in the direction of Trenta we notice a pole with the sign for prohibited traffic. Here is the beginning of an old military road which is winding and is ascending in 24 hairpin turns. After the end of hairpin turns, the path continues more as a mule track and a footpath towards the right where it eventually slightly descends by carved path and pillars and then again upwards to Staro Utro and hunting cottage Na Berebici.
About 50 meters below the cottage the footpath for Trentski Pelc goes left on a grassy small ridge and continues upwards among trees and dwarf pines. When we come a little higher, the footpath slowly goes to the left below the wall. We soon notice the scree. By the left edge of the scree below the wall we ascend to the left, where there is the beginning of a harder and orientationally more demanding part. Deer path is hard to follow, meanwhile we get help from cairns. We soon get to a shorter chimney and then we continue upwards on more distinct groove and on grass flanks. A little below the summit, we have to go left around the corner into a groove and there and on grass to the ridge and left to the top.
The path is demanding and steep (I-II) and unmarked. Appropriate only for experienced mountaineers. It is recommended to use GPS track.
