Access to starting point:
A) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, between HE Fala and HE Ožbalt we turn left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju (from the direction Dravograd we turn right). On the other side of Drava we start ascending along Radoljna, and at the marked crossroad, we go slightly right on the main road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. When we get to the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju we follow the main road, in the center of the settlement, we turn right towards the primary school, where we park on a parking lot by the school. We can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are few settled free parking spots.
B) We drive into Ruše, and then we follow the road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. In the settlement Činžat we get to a saddle, where the road starts descending, and lower we go left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. When we get to the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju we follow the main road, in the center of the settlement, we turn right towards the primary school, where we park on a parking lot by the school. We can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are few settled free parking spots.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the left road (right road leads to Holiday resort), which continues towards the west and it soon split. We continue on the right road which starts descending through the forest, and lower we get to the stream Slepnica, where we reach another road and a marked crossing.
We go right in the direction of Kapus (left - path via Dobnik and the path via Brabar) and we short time continue on the road in the direction of Puščava, and at the first crossroad we go sharply left, on the road, on which also blazes point us to.
We continue walking on a macadam road which ascends past few houses and higher farms, and then we for some time continue through the forest. Higher, the road flattens and in crossing leads to the homestead Pavlič (before the entrance to homestead there is a warning for dangerous dog), behind which the road changes into a cart track and we go slightly right and we continue the ascent by the edge of the forest. In the forest, we gradually pass over on an indistinct ridge, on which we step out of the forest on grazing slopes. We continue towards the outbuilding of farm Kapus, which we bypass on the right side, and then we ascend to a macadam road, where we join the path from Puščava.
We continue left between the outbuilding and the house, and after the farm the road passes into the forest, through which it continues all the way to Cigelnica, where there is a marked crossing.
We continue left on a footpath in the direction of Klančnik and Sveti Ignacij (straight HE Ožbalt), where we ascend on a cart track. Higher, we cross a bad macadam road, and behind it we are for some time ascending on a cart track. Higher the cart track narrows and blazes point us to the left, where we step out of the forest and then at the edge of the forest in few minutes we reach the peak Klančnik.
From the top, we continue slightly left and on a panoramic grassy slope we in few minutes descend to the near Hunting cottage Klančnik.
From the hunting cottage, we continue in the direction towards Sveti Ignacij (left downwards, there is one of the paths towards Lovrenc na Pohorju) and after a minute of additional walking, we get to the road, on which we continue with a light to moderate descent. After approximately 15 minutes of a descent we get to a small saddle at homestead Hudej, where the road becomes asphalted. We continue straight and at the cross from the left joins the path past the homestead Brabar (starting point Lovrenc na Pohorju or Janževski Vrh).
The path ahead leads us also past the homestead Žumar, and behind it from the crossroad we continue slightly right towards Sveti Ignacij. We continue on a macadam road which crosses a lane of a forest and then with nice views, we on the right side bypass also the homestead Hleb, and behind it we quickly get to the church of St. Ignacij.
