Marija Reka (Strgar) - Dom pod Reško planino

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Celje we go to the exit Šentrupert (from Ljubljana) or Šempeter (from Celje) and we continue driving in the direction of Prebold and Trbovlje. After Prebold road brings us in the village Marija Reka, where we continue driving by the stream ahead. When on the right side of the road, we notice hiking signposts, we park on a parking lot by the road (parking lot is located 10 meters before the beginning of the path or almost opposite of the parking lot!

Path description:
From the parking lot, we at first walk across the main road to the beginning of the cart track, we then ascend on the path which goes into the forest (past the former quarry on the left side). Then the path a little ahead from the quarry turns to the left and steeply ascends upwards on a badly beaten but marked footpath which in wet is very slippery! Still a bad and overgrown path, a little higher brings us to a signpost (Prebold straight, and Golava and Mrzlica back), where we turn left on a marked path over a smaller ridge, after the ridge the path starts again steeply ascending on a poorly beaten marked path, which brings us on a meadow, where we continue through a meadow, and we get to a house and hayrack, on which there is a stamp for Gradišče!
We continue on the macadam road to the chapel, where we join the path from Prebold, where from the asphalt road upwards a footpath branches off, which quickly changes into a cart track. This path, which is at first slightly descending, and then slightly ascending we follow all the way to the mountain hut Dom pod Reško planino.
