From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and follow the road towards Bled and forward towards Bohinjska Bistrica. We continue driving towards the Lake Bohinj (Ribčev laz), where we come to the crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of Stara Fužina. In Stara Fužina at the crossroad at the chapel, we turn sharply left on an ascending road in the direction of the mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and valley Voje. We follow this road to a parking lot, where a road toll or a parking fee has to be paid. Parking fee is 1 €/h.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the asphalt road which continues towards the mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and valley Voje. At first relatively steep road quickly flattens, and then it brings us to religious symbol, by which there is marked crossing.
At the religious symbol, we leave the asphalt road and we continue left in the direction of Vogar and Pršivec. Further, we at first diagonally ascend over panoramic pasture, and then the path passes into the forest, through which it is ascending on a rocky cart track. In some long zig-zags we ascend a level higher, where the path flattens a little. Only a little further, we notice signs for NOB monument, which is situated by nice viewpoint and paragliding airfield, from which a nice view opens up on Lake Bohinj, Rudnica and mountain chain Spodnje Bohinjske gore.
From the viewpoint, we return on a marked path, and it quickly brings us on the eastern edge of the mountain pasture Spodnji Vogar. The path ahead is mostly ascending gently through meadows, and we notice by the path larger number of former shepherd huts, which are today mostly converted into a holiday cottages. This path which continues to ascend gently, we follow to the mountain hut Kosijev dom na Vogarju, which we reach after few minutes of additional walking.
From the hut, we continue right in the direction of Pršivec and Planina pri Jezeru, and the path leads on a wide cart track which past a smaller cross brings us to a marked crossing.
At the crossing, we continue right (left Pršivec, mountain pasture Viševnik and mountain pasture Vodični vrh) and we continue on a worse macadam road which leads us over upper part of the mountain pasture Vogar. The path ahead leads us past the homestead Dolenc, and only a little ahead we get to a smaller crossroad, where we continue straight. From the crossroad, we walk on the road few meters and then we continue slightly right on a footpath which at first gently ascends through a meadow, and then passes into the forest, where for a short time steeply ascends. We soon return on the road which we follow to the right. After a shorter gentle ascent the road starts descending, and we follow it to the nearby marked crossing, where we leave it and we continue slightly left on parallel mountain path. For some time we are gently ascending or we cross the slopes towards the right, and then we join the cart track. About 3 minutes we are ascending on the mentioned cart track, and then blazes point us on a footpath which starts ascending steeper. Higher, the path joins better beaten cart track from the mountain pasture Blato, which we follow to the left.
Further, we are for some time ascending through the forest and then the path turns to the left, where passes into a small valley. In small valley forest gradually starts to get thinner, and the path higher turns a little to the right and it brings us to a marked crossing, where from the left joins the path from the mountain pasture Vodični vrh. Here we continue straight and after 5 minutes of additional walking, we get to the mountain hut Koča na Planini pri Jezeru.
From the mountain hut, we continue slightly left and at first downwards to a marked crossing, from which we go on the right path in the direction of the mountain pasture Dedno polje (left mountain pasture Viševnik and Pršivec). Still a wide path is at first gently, and then moderately to steeply ascending through a thin spruce forest. Higher, the path over Krištofojca branches off to the left, which leads towards the mountain pasture Viševnik, and we still continue on a wide path, which higher flattens a little and then turns slightly to the right, where in front of us we notice mountain pasture Dedno polje. Here the path turns to the left and after few additional strides, it brings us to the mountain pasture Dedno polje, by the edge of which there is a marked crossing.
We continue straight in the direction of the mountain hut Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih (right valley Za Kopico) on the path which is further gently to moderately ascending through mostly a thin forest. The path from which a nice view opens up on the mountain chain Spodnje Bohinjske gore then descends and brings us on a mountain pasture Ovčarija, where there is the next crossing.
We continue on the right path in the direction of the mountain hut Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih over Štapce (straight path over Prodi). The path ahead is at first moderately ascending through a thin larch forest and then it ascends steeper and through a lane of dwarf pines brings us to panoramic Štapce.
Here we continue left downwards towards the lake Dvojno jezero, which we clearly see below us (right Tičarica). The path immediately from Štapce starts descending steeply on very well secured path (path is secured with a steel cable, in the lower part also with a ladder). After less than 5 minutes of descent path passes on the scree and then descends to the lake Dvojno jezero, where we continue right towards the mountain hut (left path over Prodi and lake Črno jezero). A gently sloping path then on the right side bypasses lake and it quickly brings us to the mountain hut Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih.
