2nd hairpin turn of Vršič road - Visoki Mavrinc (Za Kumlehom)

Access to starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, we drive towards the mountain pass Vršič. Immediately after the 2nd hairpin turn of Vršič road or road Ruska cesta we will on the left side notice a large parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we at first carefully cross the road, and then we go on narrower at first still asphalted road. Already after few steps of walking the asphalt ends, and the road passes into the forest, where then for quite some time continues. A very bad road which crosses few torrents, after good 15 minutes of ascent ends on a smaller clearing (turning point).
From here we continue straight on a wide cart track which goes into the forest. Cart track on which we are then ascending has quite a few crossings, but if we carefully follow the cairns, we will soon come to a bigger torrent, where for a short time vanishes. We continue the ascent on gravel terrain of a torrent, and then we will soon notice a cart track which continues left in the forest.
Cart track then leads us through the initial part of indistinct valley Za Kumlehom, and we follow it to the spot, where it turns quite to the left. At this spot, we notice a smaller cairn, by which we notice a relatively steep footpath on which we are then ascending. After a short ascent, the path returns on a cart track which after few 10 strides of additional walking, we finally leave.
On the right side of the cart track we will notice at first a poorly visible footpath which is ascending for some time parallel with a cart track, and then starts ascending in numerous zig-zags on a moderately steep slope. The path ahead leads us past a bigger boulder, after which the forest becomes a little thinner. And soon the path returns into a dense forest, where crosses slopes towards the left. During the crossing we stride across two a little clumsy passable gully.
The path ahead starts ascending steeper through the forest and then turns a little towards the right. The steepness then decreases and the path after few minutes of additional walking brings us on the saddle between Visoki Mavrinc on the left and Kumlehova glava on the right.
We continue left into a dense forest (straight downwards mountain hut Koča na Gozdu, right Kumlehova glava) on the path which is at first ascending gently on an indistinct ridge and then turns a little to the right, where it starts ascending steeper. Next follows only 5 more minutes of ascent and a more panoramic path quickly brings us to the summit of Visoki Mavrinc.
In the lower part because of largeer number of crossings the orientation is a little harder.
