Access to starting point:
From highway A1 Zagreb - Ploče after we are past the exits for Zadar, Šibenik and Split, we go towards Makarska to the exit Zagvozd - Makarska, and we cross the tunnel Sv. Ilija. Immediately after we get out of the tunnel we turn in the village Bast, which is also our starting point.
Path description:
The starting point is in the village Bast above the quarry, from where the marked path goes steeply upwards on a marked path, where the steepness doesn't decrease. In the summer an additional problem is also a heat, and lack of water, because in the first part there aren't any mountain huts or source of drinking water. After approx 4h 45min we get to the first peak Ščirovac 1,619 meters.
From here we continue on a partly demanding (the only a little harder part) ridge to Sv. Ilija 1,640 meters, which we summit after 1h 40min. From here we continue past a distant hunting cottage, below the summit of Špilja and Motika to unsupplied mountain hut PD Makarska - Biokovo na Lokvi 1,467 meters, after 3h 45min.

. The second day the path leads us on a marked path below Čavlenovac on Sv. Jure (1,762 meters, where we get partly below the summit also on a narrow asphalt road after walked 1h 45min, where there is situated a transmitter (the highest point of Biokovo - the peak which is the second in Croatia) and the church of St. Jure. After this, the path descends on a partly demanding steepness, secured with a rope (approx 150 meters). At the end of the steepness we get to the mountain hut below Sveta Jura 1,584 meters, by which there is also a water tap from which we can get a drinking water. From here we continue on the asphalt road (approx 3.5 km) and we get to the mountain hut below Vošac 1,301 meters after approximately one hour, where there is the first real option to get food and drinks. From here to the top Vošac, where there is a mountain hut 1,422 meters there is another 30 minutes. And from here and on the summit of Sv. Jure there is a view, which we will remember for the rest of our lives. From Vošac an easier marked and well-beaten path is steeply descending to Makarska and its coast to which we need 2h 40min (in the time is included also the tiredness from almost 30 km long path).
