Dražgoše (Na Pečeh) - Partisan cottage on Vodiška planina

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Železniki, then continue driving towards Dražgoše. Through Dražgoše we follow the main road to the part of the village named Na Pečeh, where we notice signs for Bičkovo skala. At the mentioned crossroad the described path begins. Nearby there are no designated parking spots.
B) We drive to Kranj, then follow the signs for Besnica (the turn-off from the old Ljubljana - Kranj road is before the bridge over the Sava River, or after the bridge if coming from the Kranj direction). Further on, we drive through Spodnja and Zgornja Besnica and Njivica. A little further we arrive at Nemilje; after the mentioned settlement the road starts to ascend more steeply. When we reach Podblica, we follow the main road; above Podblica we reach the main Kropa - Dražgoše road, which we follow to the left (if the turn is too sharp, there is a turning area a few tens of meters to the right). Further we drive past the church of St. Jedert, then we already arrive at Dražgoše, where we first reach a crossroad where to the left branches the road towards Sv. Križ. Here we continue on the main road, then arrive at the center of Dražgoše, where in the area named Na Pečeh we notice signs for Bičkovo skala (signs are from the opposite direction of the road), where the described path begins. Nearby there are no designated parking spots.
C) We drive to Kropa, then continue driving towards Dražgoše and Železniki. When we arrive at Dražgoše, in the center of Dražgoše, in the area named Na Pečeh we notice signs for Bičkovo skala (signs are from the opposite direction of the road), where the described path begins. Nearby there are no designated parking spots.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on a side road in the direction of Bičkove skale and Dražgoške gore. First we walk on a steep asphalt road towards the hamlet Jelenšče, then continue left on the road in the direction of house numbers Dražgoše 43, 68 and 70. With nice views we ascend on the still asphalt road to the edge of the forest, where from the road to the right branches off a path which leads towards Dražgoška gora, mountain pasture Kališnik and Vodiška planina (the turn-off is not marked). After a short ascent, at the junction we continue right (the trail blaze shows the straight direction), then we ascend across a panoramic hayfield. When a little further we reach a wider path, we continue left (to the right we return to the asphalt road, but reach it higher than our starting point), then for quite some time we ascend diagonally towards the left on it. A little further we reach a cart track, which we just cross and continue in the direction of mountain pasture Kališnik and Vodice (left Dražgoška gora 5 minutes, right Jelenšče), on a path that ascends somewhat more steeply, a little further reaches the edge of the Jelovica plateau, where it flattens and a little further joins a cart track (here we join the path that leads past the Dražgoška gora viewpoint), which we follow slightly to the right. The cart track soon brings us to a forest road, where there is a marked junction.
The left road continues in the direction of Partizanski vrh, slightly left downhill leads the path to the abandoned mountain pasture Kališnik, and we continue right, on the road in the direction of Vodiška planina. On the other side of mountain pasture Kališnik we soon leave the road and continue slightly left on the path in the direction of Vodice. Further we mostly walk on forest cart tracks, at junctions we follow the blazes. Somewhat further we temporarily return to the road, which we follow to the left, from it we soon go right again in the direction of Vodice. Further at junctions we still follow the blazes, and the path brings us to Rženova bajta.
We bypass the mentioned hut on the right side, signs for Vodiška planina lead us into dense forest. Further we still follow signs for Vodice or Vodiška planina, then we arrive at a junction where to the left branches a marked path to Ratitovec.
We continue right in the already familiar direction, then from the right first the first path from Jamnik joins us, lower at the NOB monument also the second.
We continue the descent, this time on a path that descends quite steeply, but flattens when we reach the edge of Vodiška planina, from where only two minutes of walking separate us to the Partizanski dom.
