Forestry cottage Rovtarica - Planina Tamar (via Gladka dolina)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Škofja Loka, and then we continue driving towards Železniki. In Železniki we turn right in the direction of Rudno, Dražgoše and Bohinjska Bistrica. Towards Dražgoše we drive to the settlement Rudno, there we continue slightly left in the direction of Bohinjska Bistrica. Further, for quite some time, we drive on a macadam road which is for first 10 km moderately ascending, and then it starts descending towards forestry cottage on Rovtarica, where we park on an appropriate place by the crossroad of multiple roads.
B) We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica and we continue driving towards Soriška planina. After few kilometers of ascent we get to a crossroad, where the road towards Soriška planina branches off sharply to the right, and we continue straight in the direction of Železniki and Škofja Loka. Further, the road becomes a macadam, and we follow it to the forestry cottage on Rovtarica, where we park on an appropriate place by the crossroad of multiple roads.

Path description:
From Rovtarica we go on a road in the direction of Vodice, Mountain hut Planinski dom Goška Ravan and mountain pasture Selska planina. The road at first ascends past few cottages, and then passes into the forest, where quickly brings us to the marked crossroad. From the crossroad, we continue left in the direction of Počitniški dom Goričane (straight Goška Ravan) and we continue on the road which gradually passes into a valley Gladka dolina. The path continues on a gentle road which a little further brings us on a next crossing. This time we continue straight or slightly right, and we still follow the gentle road to a marked parking lot by the next crossroad.
Here the road towards the nearby Počitniški dom Gotičane branches off to the left, and we go slightly right and we continue on the road which from a valley passes on the western slopes of Jelovica. The road further crosses a steeper slopes of Vršan vrh, from where occasionally a nice view opens up towards the west. Next follows some descent and we get to a crossroad, where joins the road over Žontarica.
Here we go slightly left and we continue on the road which continues a little above the mountain pasture Tamar. At the next crossroad, which is located only few 100 meters ahead we continue slightly left (right mountain pasture Ribenska and Grofova planina), and we follow the road to the next marked crossroad.
From the mentioned crossroad, we continue left in the direction of the mountain pastures Oblakova and Povšinova planina. Next follows a short ascent and the road out of the forest brings us on the mountain pasture Oblakova planina.
On the other side of the mountain pasture, the road goes into the forest, and it quickly brings us to the smaller crossroad, where we continue left. The worse road only few meters ahead splits into two cart tracks. We go on the left steep cart track, and after the initial ascent it flattens and again splits. This time we continue on the lower right cart track, and it brings us to the edge of the pasture, where we notice a sign with the caption caution dangerous bull. Here we cross a grazing fence and with nice views on Julian Alps we quickly walk to shepherd huts in the middle of the mountain pasture.
