Hunting sports association Vinska Gora - Vinska gora

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Maribor we go to the exit Žalec, and then we continue driving towards Velenje. Still before Velenje, we leave the main road, because signs for Vinska Gora point us to the right on a local road, and already after few meters it brings us to a crossroad. Here we continue left in the direction of the church of St. John the Baptist and we follow the ascending road to the mentioned church. From the church, we follow the signs for hunting cottage (lovska koča), and on still ascending road we drive to the hunting cottage, near of which we park on an appropriate place.

Path description:
From the starting point, we at first walk to the hunting cottage, and then we go on the path in the direction of Temnjak, Vinska gora and Vovk. The path at first leads on the road, from which soon a marked cart track branches off slightly to the left, which on the left side bypasses the local homestead. The cart track ahead crosses some electric fences, and then passes into a dense forest. Through the forest, we follow the blazes, and the cart track after few minutes of a relatively gentle walking it brings us on a smaller indistinct ridge, where signs for Temnjak point us to the left on a little steeper footpath. We ascend through a lane of bushes, and then the path flattens and in a gentle ascent through the forest brings us to benches and inscription box on Temnjak.
From Temnjak we continue on a marked path in the direction of Vinska gora. From the top, the path at first slightly descends, and then joins the cart track which we for a short time follow to the left. After few meters, the blazes point us to the right, where near the hunting observatory we join another cart track. Here we continue straight and the path past a short panoramic part (a view on Ramšakov vrh), we follow to the top of Vinska gora, and we reach it after few minutes of additional walking.
