Jesenice (Ukova) - Dom Pristava v Javorniškem Rovtu (via Jelenkamen)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lipce, where we drive right towards Jesenice. In the settlement Javornik at the crossroad with traffic lights we turn left towards the center of the town. At the second traffic light crossroad (at secondary school) we drive right back towards the road Tomšičeva cesta past the primary school on the left. Behind the school we drive past pedestrian crossing and we immediately turn in first (narrower) street on the left. When we ascend there for few 10 meters, on the right we see marked parking lot. Here is our starting point.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the road uphill, whereupon after few 10 meters on the left we notice swimming pool Ukova, and on the right road which branches off uphill towards the north in the forest.
We step on the latter and we follow it short time, i.e. to the right turn in front of which is on the same side a fenced water catchment. On other - left side we step on the path which cuts double turn of the road which we left. Here we run into the first blazes. We quite quickly again cross the road, and we step on the path which starts ascending towards the north. When it starts turning left, it joins the cart track by which we notice a signpost. Here we go right on a cart track which quickly brings us to first small bridge (stream Ukova), over which we immediately come also to the second. Behind it, the path or cart track goes right uphill, after that more and more left in the direction of east. Next for some time follows ascending on and by winding cart track, where we all the time stick to the main - left path. When the steepness decreases, on the right we notice a signpost "kapelica (chapel)" and smaller hill named Kalvarija, on which there are chapel and bench. And we continue straight on a cart track which changes into path which is turning to the left. After few 10 meters we run into a smaller water catchment and caption "Pristava". Here we cross (often dry) stream and we turn right towards the east (left - steeply uphill towards the north path goes through Dole). Soon the path reaches shorter ridge, where it turns to the left. After few minutes of ascending we come out of the forest to the spot where a view partially opens up towards the valley, which doesn't last long. When on the left we see some sort of bench, the path turns sharply left (almost back towards the north-west) and is only moderately ascending. Quite quickly blazes point us uphill straight towards the north and then more and more right towards the east, whereupon we come to the first viewpoint towards Ljubljana basin (ridge).
From here the path goes left uphill and then again right towards the second (main) viewpoint, which is situated 50 meters right from the marked path on rocks with a bench. From this ridge path which goes left uphill towards the north is more and more ascending, and soon we also run into the first steel cable. After 20 meters of the secured path, the steepness at first decreases and then the path for the last time ascends towards the summit, which we reach in few minutes.
From here we continue on a wide upper ridge in the direction of north / north-west. After some time, when the path descends a little, it brings us to a marked crossing, where we continue right (left - unmarked path through Dole). Next follows a flat forest path on the southeast slope of the hill named Lenčkov špik. After approximately 10 minutes of walking, we pass on a swampy meadow, and the path starts descending.
Soon by the crossing we get to a nice signpost with the caption "Pristava, Jelenkamen". Here we go right downwards towards a settled cart track which takes us in the direction towards the left downwards towards the settlement on the edge of Javorniški rovt. In the settlement on the asphalt road which goes at first downwards, and later uphill, we come to a crossroad with signposts, where we continue right. When the road descends a little, we get to a crossroad with parking spots and containers. Here we cross a macadam road and we step on a path (Zoisov park), which through the right turn soon brings us to the mountain hut Dom Pristava.
