Korensko sedlo - Dreiländereck Hütte (on marked path)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Kranjska Gora, and then we continue driving towards Rateče. In Podkoren we turn right in the direction of the mountain pass Korensko sedlo, to which in few kilometers of ascent we also get to. We park on an appropriate place on the Slovenian or Austrian side of the border crossing.
B) Over the border crossing Predel we drive to Italy, and then we continue driving towards Trbiž / Tarvisio and forward to Rateče. In Rateče we continue straight, after that in Podkoren we turn left towards Austria. In few kilometers we ascend to mountain pass Korensko sedlo, where we park on the Slovenian or Austrian side of the border crossing.

Path description:
On Austrian side of the border crossing we notice yellow signposts, which point us on the path number 603 in the direction of Tromeja (Peč) / Dreiländereck. The path at first leads to the fence of the nearby cottage, and then turns left and passes into the forest. Through the forest, we are gently ascending, after that follows a short descent to a stream, which we cross, and then we ascend to the nearby cart track which we follow to the left. Cart track quickly changes into quite steep mountain path, from which for some time a view opens up a little towards Austria and nearby Jerebikovec. A little higher we reach a bad forest road, we follow it to the left and already after few steps we get to its end, from where we continue right upward on the mountain path. Next follows an ascent through occasionally thinner forest, from where a view opens up a little also towards the Julian Alps, a little higher we reach the next macadam road. We follow the road to the left, we walk with nice views on Julian Alps, and at the nearby crossing we go on the upper right road. Above the crossroad the road quickly flattens, and then continues without large changes in altitude. After few minutes signs for path number 603 point us to the left, on a footpath which through a lane of a forest brings us to a grazing fence, behind which we step on the mountain pasture Sovška planina / Seltschaher Alm. On the mountain pasture path widens into a cart track, on which we are diagonally descending on slopes of the peak Petelinjek. With a view on Dobrač and surrounding mountains we quickly reach small indistinct saddle northwest from the mentioned summit. A gently sloping path for some time gets very close to the national border with Slovenia, and then turns slightly right and lightly ascends to the upper station of 3 seater chairlift, where we notice the next signposts for Peč. Next follows few minutes of moderate descent, on the path from which in front of us we clearly see Peč (tripoint between Slovenia, Italy and Austria), and on the right side we all the time clearly see Dobrač and forward chain of Gailtal Alps, and then we already reach the mountain hut Dreiländereck Hütte.
