Mengeška koča na Gobavici - Rašica (Vrh Staneta Kosca) (lower path)

Access to starting point:
We drive in the center of Mengeš, where between traffic light crossroads, for turn-offs Kranj and Domžale, we turn towards the west in the direction of the mountain hut Mengeška koča na Gobavici. Further, we drive on street Šolska ulica, where we go at first past the kindergarten Mengeš, and then also past Oranžerija. After Oranžerija we get to the parking lot and to the beginning of a marked path to the mountain hut Mengeška koča, and we continue on a steep asphalt road, on which past restaurant Pr Fartku we get to the parking lot in front of the mountain hut Mengeška koča na Gobavici.

Path description:
From the mountain hut Mengeška koča, we continue in the direction of Dobeno and Rašica, and the path at first descends by the edge of the pasture, from which a nice view opens up on Kamnik Savinja Alps. A little further, the path turns left and through a lane of a forest descends to the nearby hayrack, where we continue right through a meadow. On the other side of the meadow, by the entrance into the forest, the path splits.
We continue on the left path in the direction of the lower path on Rašica (right the ridge path). Follows some more of light descent, and then we get very close to a macadam road, and before we get there blazes lead right. Next follows traversing of Marin hrib and Magarovnik, and between the both hills from the right joins the path from Topole. When the traversing with some shorter ascents and descents ends, we get to a marked crossing, where we join the ridge path, and also the path from Koseze joins.
We continue slightly left in the direction of the ridge path on Rašica, and the path ahead leads us on an indistinct ridge of Srednji hrib. For some time we still follow the ridge path, and then we continue left in the direction of Dobeno. Next follows easy crossing towards the left and then also a short descent to a macadam road which we follow to the right. Further, the road starts ascending, and by the edge of the forest from the left joins the path from Spodnje Dobeno.
We continue in the direction of Rašica and we for some time walk on the road. From the road at first to the right, the path branches off towards Selo, and a little further another path on Rašica, which we higher join.
On the part, where the path branches off to the left towards Zgornje Dobeno, we continue right in the direction of Rašica. Next follows a relatively short ascent and from the right at first the already mentioned path on Rašica joins, and a little higher we again join the ridge path.
We continue left, again in the direction of Rašica and we follow the marked path in a gentle to moderate ascent to few minutes distant Vrh Staneta Kosca, where there is a lookout tower, and few 10 strides lower also the mountain hut.
