Access to starting point:
From the highway we go to the exit Jesenice east, we then continue through Lipce. When we get to Jesenice, we continue on the main road to Health center (on the right side of the main road). We leave the car somewhere nearby and we go on foot towards Murova.
Path description:
After approximately 300 meters of walking through Murova we ascend on the stairs on the left side of a narrow road (immediately after the trough with water). On the top of the stairs we go to the left direction and we walk about 20 meters and then we turn sharply right and on a footpath we go through Pejce. By the path, we follow the signs for "Stara rudna pot" (old mining trail). We soon get to the chapel and after 50 meters we once again turn sharply right and we are still ascending to Zgornje Pejce. We then follow the signs and we soon come on the path which brings us to Prihodi. The path crosses also few streams, over which they made wooden footbridges. Immediately, when we come to Prihodi, we turn right on a macadam path which leads us also past a smaller homestead. Then we come to another macadam path and on this path we continue walking approximately 800 meters, we stick to the right side. Later on the right side of the road stands also a smaller house and soon after that the path splits into two parts.
We continue on the left side (we start ascending uphill) approximately 500 meters. Higher, we stick to the right side of the road and on a macadam we walk about 1 km. At the old shed we turn sharply left and we are still ascending. After that we get to a low fence, which we bypass or climb it. A sign warns, that we shouldn't walk on grass, therefore we still continue on a macadam. We stick to the left side. Later we cross another fence and a stream. 50 meters and then we get to Črni vrh.
From there we can continue on Španov vrh (1364 meters), and if we want return into a valley, we descend past the middle cableway station and we follow the macadam road which brings us on Planina pod Golico (to PGD). From there we can on an asphalt road descend to Jesenice, or we can walk to Prihodi, and then a little before the bus stop we turn left and we stick to the left side of the road, so that we come back on the path, on which we ascended from Jesenice.
If we go on the path in the winter, there can be about half a meter of snow (as you can see on the pictures, otherwise depending on the winter), therefore spats, cap and gloves are mandatory, I recommend also the crampons, because the road (especially back into a valley) can be icy.
