Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Sevnica (to here from Radeče, Mokronog or Krško), and then we go on the road in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici. When we get to Petrol gas station, which is located right next to Planina pri Sevnici, we turn right in the direction of company Montpreis and immediately after the crossroad we park on a larger asphalt parking lot by the cemetery.
B) We drive to Šentjur (to here from Celje, Štajerska highway exit Dramlje or Šmarje pri Jelšah), and then we follow the signs for Kozje and Planina pri Sevnici. At the end of Šentjur we go right in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici (slightly left - Kozje and Podsreda). Further, we are mostly ascending, and when the road flattens we on the right side we notice Petrol gas station, which is located right next to Planina pri Sevnici, and we go left in the direction of company Montpreis and then immediately after the crossroad we park on a parking lot by the cemetery.
Path description:
From the parking lot at the cemetery we go on an ascending asphalt road, on which we quickly get to the company Montpreis, where we notice the first signs for Sveti Križ. We go right (left - access on the road), where we go by the company, and then on a narrower asphalt road we get to a smaller crossroad, by which there is a religious symbol.
Here the normal path continues left, and we continue straight and we descend to a little wider road, where we go left upwards (right - we return to the main road). Only few steps ahead we get to the settlement Doropolje, and signs for Sveti Križ and the forest Pravljični gozd point us to the left on a footpath. We continue through the forest Pravljični gozd, and when we leave the area of the forest, we join the normal path, which we reach below the first Station of the Cross.
We continue by Stations of the Cross, and from every hairpin turn a nicer view opens up. Higher, the path turns left and on a grassy slope, we quickly ascend to the church of the Holy Cross, which is situated on 730 meters high hill.
