Ponikva/Hotunje - Partisan hospital Zima (via Sveta Uršula and through Dramlje)

Access to starting point:
A) With a train...Train station Ponikva.
B) With a car...We leave the highway at exit Dramlje and we continue in the direction of Šentjur. After three kilometers at the roundabout Dole we continue in the direction of the settlement Ponikva and after approximately seven kilometers, we reach the railway track. In front of the railway crossing, we can park safely. The train station is on the other side of the rail and a little to the right.

Path description:
On the asphalt road which goes along the stream we continue in the direction of the settlement Zagaj pri Ponikvi. After about a kilometer and a half, the asphalt pavement changes into a macadam and we follow it through the forest. Soon we reach a smaller settlement of houses and with good markings we continue through the yard one of the homesteads on a meadow path. A meadow path passes into the forest and then leads us past a lot of ponds and through the forest, we follow the path a little higher to the chapel. From the chapel we continue through Razbor, at the first crossing we go left and then soon right downwards below the road viaduct, where we also cross a smaller watercourse, and we pass on the other side of the highway. We continue through a meadow, through a yard of a homestead and by a wooden fence with horses we reach the main part of Vodule. From the flat part of Vodule follows an ascent on an asphalt road and further on narrower paths in the arms of vineyards/vineyard cottages. Higher, we reach a crossing, right St Uršula and hut Dom PD Dramlje in the former parish house. Of course because of the proximity of good hundred meters we make a visit and further we go downwards or left from the crossing into the valley towards Dramlje. On an asphalt road which is constantly descending and is easy to follow we soon right by the path reach the church of St Ilija. Centuries ago the church was the main parish church and the headquarters of parish of Dramlje. Today it is well renovated and a pride to settlements between Celjsko hribovje and Konjiška gora/Žička kartuzija.
After a short visit we continue good hundred meters in descent and at the crossroad, we continue left in the direction of the center of Dramlje or Svetelka, right leads an asphalt road to Pletovarje or Straža na gori (through the mountain pass also Žička kartuzija). After a good hundred meters, we go again right into the center above the school or monument NOB...at the cooperative store we go left and at the cemetery right. Further, we reach an intermediate destination of the path which is seen already from far, the church of St. Marija Magdalena in Dramlje.
After a short sightseeing, we continue on a marked mountain path in the direction of the south. This is now also the path of XIV division in the opposite direction and the main connecting mountain path between Celjsko hribovje and Konjiška gora. We continue below the presbytery into the forest, the path is very well marked and leads up and down, we cross also two meadow clearings, in rain this terrain can be partly swampy. Further after a short ascent, we reach an asphalt road which we immediately cross and by the business building we continue on a meadow path downwards by the power line poles to the other bank. Right by the path there is a structure - an important orientation point, the animal shelter, and there is also a barking for greeting, so that the path is really very easy to follow. We reach the asphalt access road to the shelter and we ascend there few ten meters to a crossroad. At the crossroad, we go right and with very good markings we follow the asphalt path among homesteads and holiday cottages through the settlement Cerovec. Somewhere at the end of the settlement, where the populated part is behind us and in the arms of the forest we turn left, we already hear noise from the nearby highway, we follow the signs and we soon reach our destination... Partisan hospital Zima next to the protection fence of highway.
The total length of the path from Ponikva / Hotunje is around 10 kilometers, 430 positive altitude meters and 415 negative altitude meters.
