Potok (Mostni graben) - Tolsti vrh (Dobrovlje) (via Dom na Farbanci)

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Mozirje (to here from Šoštanj or highway Ljubljana - Maribor (exit Šentrupert)), from where from the main roundabout we continue driving towards Gornji Grad and valley Logarska dolina. Few kilometers ahead, after Petrol gas station we turn left in the direction of Nazarje. Further, we drive through Nazarje, where we follow the signs for settlements Dobletina and Šmartno ob Dreti. Further, we drive through Dobletina and Lačja vas, and after the bridge over Dreta we continue left towards the village Potok. At the end of the village, the road passes into the forest and then continues along the stream Mostni graben. About 200 meters ahead we get to a smaller parking lot, by which there are situated hiking signposts and a small wooden bridge over which there is the beginning of the described path.
B) We drive to the settlement Šmartno ob Dreti (to here from Gornji Grad, Ljubno ob Savinji or Vransko over the mountain pass Lipa), and then we continue driving towards Nazarje. After the settlement Pusto Polje we continue right towards the village Potok. At the end of the village, the road passes into the forest and then continues along the stream Mostni graben. About 200 meters ahead we get to a smaller parking lot, by which there are situated hiking signposts and a small wooden bridge over which there is the beginning of the described path.

Path description:
We start at the small bridge, by which we notice signs for mountain hut Dom na Farbanci. Next follows an ascent through the forest, where we are at first ascending on a cart track, and higher on a well-settled footpath which leads us past a well Lahki studenec. Above a well we cross another cart track, and then relatively steep path flattens a little and passes into a small indistinct valley. From the small valley we soon turn a little to the right, and then we at first join the cart track, and few steps higher also the macadam road, and then we quickly reach the mountain hut Dom planincev na Farbanci.
From the mountain hut Dom na Farbanci we continue left from the left road, where the path past wooden cottage leads in the forest. Through the forest, we are at first ascending on a footpath, and then we come on a wide cart track, on which we continue relatively steep ascent. Higher, the cart track turns sharply left, and higher a little to the right, where also flattens and splits into two parts. We continue on a slightly left, by which there are also blazes. Further quite gentle path leads past a smaller abyss, and then we quickly reach the forest road, on which we are then ascending also to the nearby marked crossing Borovnjak, where we continue right in the direction of Tolsti vrh (left Čreta).
From relatively gentle road blazes soon point us on a footpath which ascends a little steeper and in few minutes brings us to the spot, where we join the path from Dom na Čreti. We continue right on a quite gently sloping path, which after few steps of walking, it brings us to a nice vantage point at a big cross.
From the vantage point, by which there are two pleasant benches a nice view opens up on Vransko and Posavsko hribovje.
We continue on a gently sloping path, which a little further for a short time steeply descends, and then crosses occasionally steeper slopes and then it brings us to a smaller hamlet (farm Rucgar), where we also come to the next crossing.
We continue right in the direction of Tolsti vrh and NOB monument (left saddle Lipa and Sveti Jošt) on the path that starts ascending diagonally on partly panoramic slope. Higher, the path turns to the right, goes into the forest and for a short time slightly descends. After few minutes of additional walking, the path on Tolsti vrh turns sharply left (straight NOB monument 15 minutes) and it starts gradually ascending steeper and steeper. This relatively well-marked path, we then follow all the way to Tolsti vrh.
Only few steps below the summit a nice view opens up on Kamnik Savinja Alps, and also the path from Sveti Jošt joins.
