Radovljica - Castle Lipniški grad (Pusti grad above Lipnica) (on natural learning trail)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Radovljica, and then we continue driving in the direction of Radovljica. In the first a little larger crossroad we turn left in Radovljica, after that soon left in the direction of Tinaraft. At the next crossroad, only few 10 meters ahead, again right in the direction of Tinaraft, Zbirni center Radovljica and natural learning trail Pusti grad. Further, we drive on the road Savska cesta, which is for most of the time gently descending, and then after the underpass under the railway track brings us to the settled parking lot, by which there are signs for natural learning trail Pusti grad. We park on the mentioned parking lot.

Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, where there is information board of natural learning trail, we continue right on a wide path, by which we notice signs for Fux footbridge. The path immediately goes into the forest, through which is mostly lightly descending. At the crossings, we follow the wider path, or the one by which there are signs for natural learning trail. Further, the path leads us also past the field for paintball, and then we descend to Fux footbridge, before which is company Tinaraft d.o.o.
Next follows passage over the river Sava on Fux footbridge, and then after few steps of ascent we get to a pleasant bench with a view on footbridge and Sava.
From the bench we continue straight (right path Pot ob Savi, possible continuation to Šobčev bajer) and after a short ascent on a cart track we get to the next crossing, where we continue straight (right castle Pusti grad over Ravnica). The path ahead leads through the forest and then at the next crossing we continue slightly left in the direction of Kamna Gorica and after few additional strides, we get to private path, where we bypass the nearby house. Behind the house, the private path ends, and the path leads us through a short panoramic meadow. Further, the path leads us past the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes and also past few information boards of natural learning trail. After a shorter little steeper ascent we get to a small saddle, where we continue right (left - unmarked path on Vreče, straight - Kamna Gorica) in the direction towards the castle Pusti grad.
After few steps the path again splits, and we continue on the right path, which quickly takes us to Galerije (slightly left path bypasses Galerije and is a little shorter). Next follows an interesting path through Galerije, where in the spring time we can besides the wild garlic and spring snowflake, also notice a quite rare three-leaved anemone (Anemone trifolia), which we can quickly mix up with more common wood anemone, which also grows in Galerije. After the window "okno v svet", the path turns a little to the left and it brings us on an indistinct ridge, where we return on a better beaten path, which bypasses Galerije.
After the junction of the mentioned path we step out of the forest and the path through a meadow brings us to the settlement Zgornja Lipnica, where at the crossings we follow the signs for Pusti grad. Next follows a walk on a gently sloping macadam road which after few minutes joins another path from Fux footbridge. We still continue on the road which then brings us to the next houses, where at the crossings we again follow the signs for Pusti grad. Behind the last house a beautiful view opens up towards the Alps, after we again step in the forest, we get to a crossing, where a short path branches off to the left, which leads on Pusti grad. From the crossing, we reach the castle Pusti grad after approximately a minute of additional walking.
