Spodnja Lipnica - Partisan cottage on Vodiška planina (Kolnica - Vodice)

Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the exit Naklo, Podtabor or Brezje, then continue driving in the direction of Kropa. At the intersection where the straight road continues towards Kropa, turn right and further drive through Kamna Gorica. Further, we drive for some time along the Lipniška Valley, then turn left in the direction of Spodnja Lipnica and Lovska koča na Taležu. Before the hamlet Kolnica, park on the right in the parking lot. B) From the highway Jesenice - Ljubljana, take the exit Lesce or Radovljica, then continue driving in the direction of Radovljica and later the villages Lancovo, Lipnica and Kamna Gorica. Further, the road crosses the Sava River over a bridge and on the other side gradually starts to ascend. The route ahead leads through Lancovo, then we descend into the Lipniška Valley, where we soon turn right into Spodnja Lipnica. Before the hamlet Kolnica, park on the left in the parking lot before the bridge.

Path description:
The starting point is left before the bridge before we come to the hamlet Kolnica. Here there is a smaller parking lot available. The path leads upwards first along a forest cart track; when we reach the first junction, go right along the forest cart track, at the next junction left, when the cart track flattens, then right along the newly made cart track. From here the path starts to ascend steeply, first along the forest cart track and then along the old path in zigzags; in between we pass a signpost and bench at Počivavo and continue to Ravna. When the path reaches a forest cart track, go left (straight ahead is the sign for Razpok). After 50 m, leave the cart track and go right along a poorer path towards Vrtača along the ridge; at the junction go right to the forest road. When we reach the forest road, go left downhill and after 100 m before the turning area turn right onto the forest cart track. Follow the forest cart track; at the end of the forest cart track we reach direction signs and join the path coming from the direction of Kamna Gorica. Continue along the path to the forest road, then continue left along the forest road and once again left along the forest road (past the barrier). After about 500 m, turn right onto the footpath towards Vodice (towards the end follow the sign letter V on the trees). Follow the markers until we reach the forest road, go left and then it is a few hundred meters to the hut on Vodiška planina.
