Štore - Vrunčev dom na Svetini (via Kompole and Šentjanž)

Access to starting point:
Štore is ideally accessible with the help of Slovenian Railways. By car... you leave the motorway in Celje and practically in the center of Celje head towards Štore or Šentjur. Park the car near the Štore railway station, where there are enough parking spaces available and also the beginning of the marked mountain path.

Path description:
The beginning of the path is at the railway station in Štore. We head through Voglajna, where a signpost immediately directs us left a few dozen altitude meters uphill. At the first structure immediately left and we follow the mountain path through the forest directly above Voglajna. At the exit from the forest in the settlement Draga we follow the meadow path also directly above Voglajna and further along the asphalt road to the bridge over the river Voglajna or the junction named Opoka. Left over the bridge goes the path to Dramlje, Konjiška gora..., straight to Resevna, while we continue sharply right into the forest on a narrower forest path, partly the road to Kompole or Sv. Lovrenc.
At the junction we have also reached the XIV. division path and after a few hundred meters we leave the forest and at the equestrian ranch step onto an asphalt connection and continue left in a moderate ascent past the sports field and tourist farm. A gentle descent follows and soon we reach the center of the settlement Kompole with the church of Sv. Lovrenc and the branch school.
After viewing we continue downhill and slightly to the right to the barn with marking. From the barn along the meadow cart track to the second hill between the residential house on the left and the farm building on the right back onto asphalt surface and a few meters uphill to the junction with an interesting chapel. At the junction we continue left along the asphalt road slightly downhill and further past the stately homestead higher along the left side of the stable again onto the forest path.
The forest path continues along the babbling stream to the pasture, where we then head uphill along the pasture cart track to the unfortunately poorly maintained chapel. From the chapel we continue past three or four homesteads uphill to the right on asphalt surface, which turns to macadam and soon after sharply left onto the narrower forest path, which we follow along the markings all the way to the exit onto the meadow/pasture area. The path turns into a cart track and below the chapel through the spacious courtyard of the homestead we reach the asphalt road Štore - Svetina. We turn right downhill, but first we can turn left and after five minutes of pleasant walking reach the 513 meters high peak Turn with a belfry on top, which is separated from the slightly lower-lying church of Sv. Janez Krstnik. After viewing we head downhill and continue right about two hundred meters to the branch left uphill along the meadow path and continue further along the forest road to the next branch sharply left uphill. In the forest winds a pleasant path, we also cross a smaller clearing with a hunting bivouac and a hunting lookout a bit higher. Another section in the forest and soon again exit from the forest past three or four weekend houses and reach the junction Dobošek. We continue straight and from the left joins the path from Resje or Resevna and past the chapel we then turn right uphill past the homesteads and soon reach the goal of today's path from Štore via Šentjanž… Vrunčev dom na Svetini.
