Veli Lošinj (Hotel Punta Veli Lošinj) - Sveti Ivan (Lošinj) (mountain trail)

Access to starting point:
On the road D100 from Porozine (ferry port) to Mali Lošinj, through the town and then at the roundabout Čikat/Veli Lošinj we choose the exit for Veli Lošinj.
At the hotel Veli Lošinj we park on an appropriate place.

Path description:
From the parking lot at the hotel we go on the road downwards past the hotel and then ahead on a walking path towards the port in the settlement Veli Lošinj.
When we get to the first houses by the sea, we continue by the sea to the spot, where the path turns sharply left towards the church. We continue straight and after approximately 50 meters between two paths we choose the right.
A narrower path leads us upwards to the church of Our Lady of the Angels. We bypass the church on the right or the left side and we continue on the path. Behind the church there are the first blazes for Sveti Ivan.
At the pedestrian crossing we cross the road and we continue on a narrower path slowly upwards. The path brings us to a smaller chapel with a sign right towards Sveti Ivan.
From here we further follow the signs steeper and steeper upwards. Next follows another crossing, where we choose the right path, which brings us to the destination.
The path is easy and well-marked. In the steepness the trees offer a good shade. So during the hot summer days we don't feel the strength of the sun.
The peak rewards us with a wonderful view.
