Žerovinci (Dom krajanov in gasilcev Žerovinci) - Hiding place for horses

Access to starting point:
From Ormož we drive towards Ljutomer or vice versa, and when we get to the settlement Žerovinci we go towards Dom krajanov in gasilcev, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue towards the southwest, where we go past Dom krajanov in gasilcev Žerovinci and a chapel, and after crossing the railway track we go left. We short time continue parallel with the railway, and then we continue on the road which turns right and ascends into the forest. Higher, we leave the forest and we continue below the route of a high voltage power line, where the road for some time flattens, and then past few houses we ascend to a crossroad, where we cross another power line. Here we go left, and few 100 meters ahead at the next crossroad we go right, both times in the direction of the marked path. In a gentle descent, we continue past few houses, and when we are already ascending we go left on a side road, on which blazes point us to. After a short ascent we again start descending, and when the priority road turns right we go straight, where the path leads also past the last houses in the hamlet. After the last house the road ends, and we start descending on a grassy cart track which lower at the vineyard ends. Behind the vineyard we go right to the edge of the forest, where we then continue the descent by rare blazes. After few minutes of descent, we reach an asphalt road, where we go right in the direction towards Kostanj and Ormož (to the left leads the road to Ivanjkovci), and at the nearby chapel we go left on a side road. Side road quickly splits, and we continue straight in the direction of connecting path towards Ormož (right - Kostanj).
The road which leads towards the nearby pond we quickly leave because signs for Ormož point us to the left (straight ponds - caution private land).
When we leave the road we cross a smaller bridge, and then through a meadow we walk to the forest, through which we are at first steeper, and higher gently ascending. A little further, we reach an asphalt road, on which we continue easy ascent, still before we leave the forest signs for the monument point us to the left downwards. We continue between the fields, and then we return into the forest, where blazes and a worse footpath quickly bring us to the monument.
