This snow tongue will persist for a while before entering the via ferrata. Welcome snowfield with a slight incline for crossing the scree. Another springtime view for the end. ...and view towards the north at 12:53. :) :) :) Then the fog arrived. View towards the south at 12:50... A little more lounging on Viševnik while watching avalanches. View of Krma from MDV, Debela peč to the right. Satisfied at the summit of MDV. View back, Triglav in clouds far right. View of the traversed section. Key spot of the entire tour - chimney. First I went to check to the right... Too exposed. I return and go up the gully. High-lying Macesen and the summit dome of MDV. I traversed along the slope, not quite along the ridge. Woooow... Before the main goal of todays tour. MDV and Viševnik. Tosc. Almost one could still go through the gully :) The only snow on the path on the ascent to VDV. Panorama from Ablanca towards the south. This is how it looked in the morning. To the Studorski pass one still has to wade a bit through the whiteness. Author of the report... ...and the last look at todays key ridge section. And to the other side too. And joy. Thats enough for today. We still need to return safely before everything turns to mush. Finally at Kofce gora. View towards Veliki vrh. A single tiny speck in the distance is making its way up. On the crucial section of the ridge, it was already a bit thrilling. The photo shows a cautious change from traversing the hardest part sideways back to walking along the top. The ridge is narrowing... But its nice :) Here it was ideally frozen for front-pointing, less snow too. Quick progress. End of trudging! Time for crampons.
