Easter hike from Varen over Raspille Waterfall to Salgesch (2020/04/03)

The sunny side of the Wallis valley is ideal for Spring hiking. We walked from the winery village Varen uphill to the Grossi Wasserleitu (big water way), which ironically is empty of water for the time being, though still charming, bordered by pines as it is, then down and over on a little side trip to the rainbow waterfall on the Raspille river. From here it takes less than an hour down to Salgesch, another winery village. If you have the time, there are plenty of wineries in both villages offering wine tasting.
