Gýmeš is a castle ruin on a steep andesite hill Dúň (514 m a.s.l.) on the southern slope of the Tribeč mountains, about 5 km north of the village Jelenec (Gýmeš). The ruin is a distinct dominant feature of the wide area. Gýmeš is one of the ancestral castles of the noble Forgách family.
