Description:
Interesting hike starting from Larche, on the sites where battles took place after the declaration of war in June 1940. The route is not particularly difficult, no exposed points, a nice autumn hike. The Forte di Viraysse is interesting for its position, the north side was hit by Italian bombings. From this point, the entire Oronaye valley and the Sautron and Portiola passes are overlooked. To the south, a large part of the road descending from Colle della Maddalena is visible.
