Veľký Choč is with height 1611 m a.s.l. the dominant peak of the Chočské vrchy, visible from Štrba and the entire Lower Orava. The summit is very popular with tourists. Known primarily for its panoramic view of Veľká Fatra, Low, High and Western Tatras and to the north Orava. It has the shape of an irregular pyramid with numerous rocky areas. Its summit is covered with dwarf pine, from Valaská Dubová it has a gently rising shape, while from the north and from Lúčky it is in a steep drop.
