Sasso Piatto Circuit, loop excursion in the Dolomites of Val Gardena

You set off with a precise idea, well-planned route, you know it's tough but you can do it, then the unforeseen, a twisted ankle and you have to give up the summit. The initial idea was to do the Sasso Piatto loop, an excursion done years ago, this time however I also wanted to conquer the summit via the normal route, unfortunately I had to give up. Despite not reaching the summit, this remains a magnificent trek in the heart of the Dolomites between Val di Fassa and Val Gardena. The landscape on the surrounding peaks is truly magnificent.
