At its 2169 meters above sea level, Midžor is the highest peak of Stara Planina and at the same time the highest peak of narrow Serbia, as well as the twelfth highest in the chain of Balkan mountains. Therefore, it is no wonder that it is so attractive to hikers from all over Serbia and beyond. The ascent to Midžor from the Serbian side is usually done from two directions, from the mountain hut Babin Zub below the eponymous peak or from the village Topli Do, which is a longer and slightly more picturesque path. In general, the ascent along the gentle Serbian slopes is relatively easy and requires average physical fitness, and there are no technical details on the ascent, so this peak is practically accessible to everyone.
