Description:
footage dedicated to a nice Social Trip of CAI Ligure Genova with snowshoes. The chosen goal is Pointe Basse de Mary 3126 m located in Ubaye Valley. Ascent over two days. The first day we arrived at Refuge la Cure in Maljasset from Genova. Excellent accommodation, treatment and stay in the hut. The second day we climbed to Pointe Basse de Mary via Vallon de Mary, the slope and SW ridge, a longish but truly pleasant and interesting trip... that fully rewarded all participants who reached the summit! Snow in decent conditions, good visibility, some variable moments... but no complaints! Elevation gain: 1221 m. Difficulty: BR. Social Trip organized by Stelvio Lanzone and Gianfranco Caforio, with 14 participants and... all on the summit! Trip done on 10 and 11-5-2008.
