Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce, and then we continue driving in the direction of Bled and Bohinj. When we come in Bohinjska Bistrica we continue left in the direction of Soriška planina, and then at the left turn straight on a side road in the direction of village Ravne and ski slope Kobla. Ahead we drive only few 10 meters and then we park on a large parking lot by the foot of the ski center Kobla.
Path description:
From the starting point, we at first carefully cross the road, and then past the bottom station of the ski lift Kozji hrbet we walk to the bottom station of two-seater chairlift Kobla 1, to which we have a short descent. From two-seater chairlift over the bridge we cross a smaller stream and behind it we continue slightly left and then start ascending by the ski track. After few shorter steep ascents ski slope flattens and we get to the bottom station of two-seater chairlift Kobla 2. Here we cross the road which leads from Ravne towards the former mountain hut Koča dr. Janeza Mencingerja and we continue the ascent slightly right on the more and more panoramic grassy slope. After a time we come to the bottom station of two-seater chairlift Kobla 3, where we also step on the next forest road. We follow the road to the left, and we walk there good 10 minutes, to a smaller crossing west from Mali vrh. Here the road continues straight, and we go right on a narrower ski track (worse road), which few times steeply ascends. The path on which we walk is gradually turning more and more to the right and gradually from the bad road changes into wide and gentle ski track. We continue on a bad road which is moderately ascending on a ski slope, and with a view on Šavnik, Možic, Slatna and Lajnar it brings us on a gently sloping saddle between Krevl on the left and Kravja Črna gora on the right.
From the saddle, where a nice view opens up towards Črna prst we continue left on a marked path in the direction of "Vrh Koble - žig" (peak Kobla - stamp). Here the path at first ascends through a lane of a forest and then it brings us on a panoramic ridge. We continue on and by panoramic and on Primorska side also precipitous ridge, which with increasingly beautiful views we follow to the top of Krevl (on inscription box is written Kobla), which we reach after few minutes of additional walking.
