Dolina - Dom na Kofcah (past the chapel)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Podnart (Ljubelj), and then we continue driving on the fast road towards Ljubelj and Tržič. When the fast road ends, we will notice a gas station on the right side, in front of which we turn right downwards towards Tržič. Further, we drive through Tržič, and we follow the narrower road towards the gorge Dovžanova soteska and further to the village Dolina, where on a macadam parking lot before the bridge over the river Tržiška Bistrica we also park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we first cross a bridge, then on the main road we walk to the nearby chapel, where we continue left by the garden and older residential house on the forest road. We continue the ascent on the always narrower and worse macadam road which leads us by the stream Kališnik moderately upwards. The road soon changes into a cart track, which starts ascending steeper. Higher, we come to a water catchment, above which the narrower cart track turns left and after a few meters ends, and we continue straight over a larger grassy hayfield, on which we ascend to a somewhat larger spruce, where blazes point us slightly right on a steeper footpath. We continue on the steep path, which crosses a shorter strip of forest, then brings us to moderately steep grassy slopes, on which with nice views on Storžič and Stegovnik we ascend to the saddle Kal, where we also step on the forest road. From the saddle, from which a nice view opens up on Begunjščica, we continue right and in a few steps we arrive at Zavetišče na Kalu.
From the shelter we continue on the macadam road, where we quickly arrive at a marked junction, where the "direct" path towards Dom na Kofcah branches off to the left, and we go straight and continue the path on the macadam road. Higher (just a little after the quarry) we leave the road, as blazes direct us slightly left onto a footpath, on which we first ascend steeply, then ascend transversely towards the right. Somewhat further we reach another forest road, which we just cross as signs for Dom na Kofcah - mimo kapelice direct us onto a wide cart track. After a few meters of ascent we continue on the right cart track, on which we quickly arrive at Mrzlega studenca. After the spring the path goes temporarily into the forest, then brings us to a clearing, on the edge of which stands a larger chapel.
From the chapel we continue left into the forest, through which we ascend to the nearby grazing fence. When we cross the grazing fence the path partly disappears, but if we continue on the slope slightly to the left, we will arrive without major problems at the mountain hut Dom na Kofcah.
