Dovje - Borovje (via Sedučnik and over saddle)

Access to starting point:
A) We leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Jesenice - West (Hrušica) exit, then continue driving towards Kranjska Gora. We drive towards Kranjska Gora to the junction at the monument to Jakob Aljaž, where we turn right onto the nearby parking lot by Aljažev hram.
B) First we drive to Kranjska Gora, then continue driving towards Jesenice. Along the main road towards Jesenice we drive to the junction at the monument to Jakob Aljaž, where we turn left onto the nearby parking lot by Aljažev hram.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue in the direction of Kepa and Dovška Baba along an ascending road that leads us through Dovje. After a short ascent, we arrive at a junction by the chapel, where the path from the parish church in Dovje joins from the left. At the mentioned junction, we continue right, then after a few meters at the next junction left in the direction of house numbers 43-50 and 75-105. We continue along a narrower asphalt road ascending between houses, at the next junction continuing slightly right in the direction of numbers 49, 78-81A, 83-90A, 92, 96-97. A little further ahead, where the road branches right to house numbers 88 and 89A, we continue straight and proceed along the road that loses its asphalt surface beyond the village. At the end of the village, a nice view opens up onto Dovje and Jerebikovec, and the road then enters the forest through which it ascends transversely. Further on, we cross Sedučnikov potok as well, then ascend on an asphalt road to the farmstead of the Sedučnik farm. This is followed by some walking along the asphalt road past a cross and hayrack to the residential house and farm building, where the path leads right by the house. Behind the yard, we cross the fence on the path, which continues along a cart track and then enters the forest. At the first junction above the farm, we go right, then continue the path transversely to the right. Higher up, the path leads past a pleasant spring (source of the Sedučnik stream). Above the stream, we keep to the right directions, then soon step onto a macadam road, reaching it right at a bend. We follow the road left for about 100 meters, then a wide cart track branches off to the right, leading towards Rovt Vrse.
We continue along the mentioned cart track, along which we quickly arrive at the huts on the mentioned Rovt.
Here we continue straight ahead, i.e., along the left side of both huts, where above the meadow we notice a somewhat less trodden path that higher becomes a cart track, which ascends through initially sparse forest. The cart track soon ends, and we continue the ascent first along the torrent gully, higher up the path entering the gully, which is no longer so pronounced. Along the mentioned gully, we ascend in a few minutes to the saddle between Planica on the left and Borovje on the right.
On the saddle named Šija 1, we continue right (sharp left Planica, left Kepa over Kurjeke, straight down Erjavčev rovt on pathless terrain (very demanding)) and first ascend transversely to the right, then the path goes onto the ridge, where it begins to ascend steeply. Higher up, the trail—from which a temporary view opens towards Kepa and Dovška Baba—flattens and only a little higher turns right, passing onto steep slopes. Across these slopes, we ascend transversely, then join the "ridge" path.
Here we continue left and briefly traverse to the right. After the short traverse, we step out of the forest into rockier terrain, across which—over a slightly exposed slope—we ascend to the cross on Borovje.
