Frutten-Gießelsdorf - Aussichtswarte Vulkanland

Access to starting point:
From Gornja Radgona we drive to Austria, from where we follow the signs for Sveta Ana pri Igu / Sankt Anna am Aigen. In the settlement Deutsch Haseldorf we turn left towards the settlement Tieschen, and after a short descent, we then turn left again. Further, we drive through the settlement Pichla bei Radkersburg, where we turn sharply right in the direction of the settlements Bad Gleichenberg and Frutten-Gießelsdorf. In the settlement Frutten-Gießelsdorf, we turn right and descend through the settlement to a small marked parking lot by the road, which is located near yellow trail signposts.

Route description:
From the starting point, we follow the path in the direction of signs for Aussichtswarte Vulkanland and initially walk on a sidewalk, which, with a gentle ascent, brings us to a small church in a few minutes, which we bypass on the left side. Here we continue straight, and from the next crossroad, we turn right toward Bad Glechenberg, then immediately right again onto a path where the signs for Aussichtswarte Vulkanland continue. We continue past a few houses, and above the settlement, we turn right onto a cart track, where we still follow the signs for Aussichtswarte Vulkanland.
Next follows a diagonal ascent across the upper part of a meadow, then the path enters a forest and continues to ascend diagonally. Higher up, we also join the wine path, and when we reach the asphalt road, we turn left and walk past the inn die Frühwirths Aussichtswarte to the lookout tower.
