Hunting cottage Budanje - Podrta gora above Ajdovščina

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Ajdovščina, and then we continue driving towards Col. After a short ascent Ajdovščina ends, and further we are ascending diagonally on the road which is rising above Vipava valley. Few 100 meters after the road sign 3.5 km, we will get to a smaller crossroad, where short with the gate closed road branches off to the right, which leads to the near hunting cottage Budanje. We park by the crossroad on the right side of the road, or about 50 meters ahead on an appropriate place by the road on the other side of the road.
B) We drive to Vipava, from there we continue driving towards the settlement Vrhpolje. From Vrhpolje we continue towards Col, Sanabor and Bela and further we drive on an ascending road which higher brings us to a smaller crossroad, where we continue left (right village Bela and Sanabor). Next follows an ascent on the road which in numerous zig-zags brings us to the spot, where it joins the main road Ajdovščina - Col, and we follow it left downwards. After approximately 500 meters of driving on the main road, we get to the beginning of a marked path which leads on Kovk and Sinji vrh. At the starting point, there is a wooden mountain signpost for Kovk, and nearby there is also an appropriate place for parking. On the other side of the road, about 50 meters ahead is a turn-off towards the nearby hunting cottage Budanje, where there is also possible to park by the road.
C) From Godovič or Kalce pri Logatcu we drive to Col, and from there we continue driving towards Ajdovščina. At the road sign approximately 4 km we will on the right side notice a smaller parking lot, and by it signs for a footpath on Kovk. On the other side of the road, about 50 meters ahead is a turn-off towards the nearby hunting cottage Budanje, where there is also possible to park by the road.

Path description:
From the starting point, we go on a footpath in the direction of Kovk. The path immediately goes into the forest through which it starts at first moderately, and soon quite steeply ascending. After a good 30 minutes of walking, we get to a viewpoint, from where a nice view opens up towards Nanos, Vipava valley and slopes above us.
The path ahead for some time entirely flattens, and then it gradually starts ascending steeper again. Further, we are for some time still ascending through the forest and then past a "wish bell" we gradually get to thinner forest and a little further also to a bench, cross and inscription box on Sončnica.
From the inscription box, we continue few 10 meters straight, and then we get into a smaller valley, where there is a crossing.
From the crossing, we go left (right Kovk) and we continue by the edge of plateau on panoramic terrain, on which in a minute or two of additional walking, we get to Paragliding site Sončnica.
From the airfield we continue on a marked path which continues towards the west and which leads us by the edge of plateau. After few shorter ascents and descents we quickly reach the peak Kraguljc, which we recognize by a small concrete stone (trigonometric point) on the top of the mountain.
From the top follows an easy descent on the ridge of Kraguljc, from where occasionally nice views opening up on Vipava valley, and then we get to a marked crossing, where from the left joins the marked path from Ajdovščina.
Here, in front of us there is the ridge of Podrta gora, and we continue left downwards in the direction of Ajdovščina, where after few steps, we get to the chapel, by which there is a stamp of Podrta gora.
The starting point - Sončnica 1:10, Sončnica - Kraguljc 15 minutes, Kraguljc - Podrta gora 10 minutes.
