Hunting cottage Urška - Racna gora

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Unec and follow the road ahead in the direction of Cerknica. Further, we drive through Cerknica, Martinjak and Grahovo to the village Bloška polica, where at the crossroad we continue right in the direction of village Lož (straight Sodražica, possible also access from this side). Only a little after the village Lož we come to Stari trg pri Ložu, where we continue left in the direction of village Markovec. In the village Markovec we continue left in the direction of Knežje njive and then we drive on an ascending road which higher brings us to the next crossroad. We continue straight (left Knežja njiva) on a macadam road which we follow to the road sign 6 km. Only a little after this sign we get to a crossroad, where we turn right and then we drive good 100 meters more to the hunting cottage Urška, which is a starting point of our trip.

Path description:
From the hunting cottage Urška we go on a footpath in the direction of Racna gora. The path at first runs on a relatively gentle cart track from which after few minutes of walking, the marked footpath branches off to the left. The path ahead on the left side bypasses a bigger cottage and behind it, it starts ascending steeper. Already pretty steep path higher crosses two cart tracks and after them ascends even steeper on a slope straight upwards. Poorly visible but relatively well-marked path only a little below the summit joins the path which comes from Vrhnika pri Ložu. We continue left and the path which still runs through the forest we follow to the peak of Racna gora.
