Kobarid - Tonovc Castle at Kobarid

Access to starting point:
First, we drive to Kobarid, and then we continue driving towards Bovec. Only a little more than a kilometer ahead from Kobarid, we will on the right side of the road notice an old military bunker, on the left steep stairs, and few meters ahead on the right side a smaller parking lot, where we park.
To the starting point, we can also come from the direction Bovec.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue few 10 strides by the main road towards Kobarid, and then we carefully cross the main road, and from there we continue on stairs, on which signs for castle Tonovcov grad point us to. We continue on steep stairs, in the middle of which on the steepest part we also get help from a steel cable. After 5 minutes stairs end and the path takes us into the forest, through which we are moderately ascending. Further, the path flattens even a little more, but passes on steep slopes. Because the path is further pretty wide and on exposed spots also secured with a fence, it doesn't cause problems. Higher flattens also a slope and the path only a little further brings us to renovated ruins of the former castle Tonovcov grad, from which a nice view opens up.
