We leave the Primorska highway at the Kozina exit, and then follow the road towards Ilirska Bistrica and Reka. In the settlement Markovščina, from the roundabout in front of the inn Baša we drive right on the first exit, where near the red mountain signposts a smaller parking lot is located, where we park.
Path description:
From the starting point, we follow a marked trail towards Skadanščina and Slavnik and begin walking on a macadam road, which features a few short ascents and descents. We quickly arrive at a crossroad and resting place at Cajna (cajna is a woven basket, and Jurjeva valley, where the Cajna resting place is located, is shaped like a woven basket).
We continue along the macadam road, and at the next crossroad, we turn slightly right towards Slavnik (slightly left towards Bečun), then gradually begin to descend gently descend. A little further on, we reach an asphalt road leading towards the village of Skadanščina, and we follow it to a marked parking lot just before the village. Here, we turn slightly right and ascend via a footpath through a strip of forest; upon leaving the forest, we already see the church of St. Rok ahead, which we reach in a few more steps of walking.
