b) From Slovenj Gradec, we drive towards Velenje, but only as far as the Mislinja settlement, where we turn left from the crossroad after the Petrol gas station onto the side road Šentlenart. From the next crossroad at the Tuš store, we continue straight and proceed along road Pohorska cesta, driving until we reach the organized parking lot at the end of the Mislinja settlement.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on an asphalt road which crosses a stream, along which we then ascend for some time. Higher up, the road crosses to the left bank of the stream and moves slightly away from it, and after a short diagonal ascent, we reach a crossroad where we turn onto the left road, marked with signs for Črni vrh, Ribniška koča, Jezerski vrh, and Grmovškov dom below Velika Kopa. For a few minutes, we continue ascending on the asphalt road, and when the road turns left, we leave it to go straight onto a footpath or cart track, along which the blazes continue. Next follows a short ascent on the cart track, where at several crossings we follow the blazes; higher up, we leave the forest and ascend to the farm Medved, where we reach a macadam road. Above the farm, we turn left from a small crossroad and continue toward the forest entrance, enjoying beautiful views of Uršlja gora and the surrounding mountains. When the road enters the forest, we turn right onto a marked cart track, which leads us through a strip of forest to a pasture and then to the next farm. We continue through the farmyard and then walk for some time along the macadam road. At the next farm, there is a small crossroad and a turning point with a no-parking sign; here, we choose the left road (the right leads toward the valley), and shortly after, we turn right onto a footpath that leads through a strip of forest to the edge of a pasture, where we continue briefly. A little further, the path turns left into the forest, where it then ascends diagonally for some time. Higher up, we return to the macadam road and ascend gently to moderately through the forest; when we reach a decaying building and leave the forest, we turn left onto a marked path that ascends diagonally above the road. A little further, we cross the road again, and then the blazes guide us to the right of two small religious symbols. Next follows a moderate ascent through the forest, and then, at a resting area with a bench, we cross the road for the last time. We bypass the benches and table on the left side, return to the forest, and begin ascending along the southwestern ridge of Črni vrh. Along the ridge, we ascend moderately for a few minutes, and then the path splits.
To the left continues the path toward Grmovškov dom or a gentle path to Črni vrh; straight ahead leads a steep path to Črni vrh; we take a few steps forward and then turn right onto the path toward Ribniška koča.
Initially, the footpath is somewhat poorly visible but soon becomes easier to follow and joins a cart track, which we follow left upward. Next follows a diagonal ascent to the right, and on the saddle between Črni vrh and Mali Črni vrh, we reach a well-trodden path leading from Grmovškov dom pod Veliko Kopo toward Ribniška koča.
We follow the path to the right, keeping to the blazes and signs for Ribniška koča, and gradually begin a light ascent. Higher, we on the right side bypass a fenced private cottage and behind it we get to an artificial lake on Mali Črni vrh, from where a beautiful view opens up.
From Mali Črni vrh we continue from the bad road slightly left on a marked path, and there we quickly descend to Ribniška koča.
Mislinja - Mali Črni vrh 2:55, Mali Črni vrh - Ribniška koča 0:05.
