Oberort - Kamplriedel (Blick zum grünen See)

Access to starting point:
From the border crossing Šentilj we continue driving on the highway towards Gradec / Graz and forward towards Linz and Salzburg. Highway A9 we soon leave and continue driving slightly right towards Vienna / Wien, continuing on expressway S35. Near the settlement Bruck an der Mur, we leave expressway S35 and follow signs for the mentioned settlement. From the nearby roundabout, we take the first exit and follow signs for the town Kapfenberg. Still in the town Bruck an der Mur, at the traffic light intersection, we turn left towards Trägoß and St. Katharein, following tourist signs for Grüner See. Next follows approximately 23 km of driving and we arrive at the settlement Oberort, where from the crossroads in the center of the settlement, we turn right (left Grüner See). Only a few meters ahead, the road splits again, and we once more choose the right road and ascend on a steep road in a few tens of meters to the parking lot above the church.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we descend to the last crossroad, and from there we go right in the direction of the mountain Messnerin. At first, we walk past a few more houses; when the settlement Oberort ends, we take a marked left turn onto a footpath in the direction of the previously mentioned mountain. Next, we cross a stream and a grazing fence, then start ascending more steeply. After about 20 minutes of ascent, we reach a marked crossroad, where we leave the path to Messnerin and continue left along the Kamplsteig path, which leads toward Kamplriedl and the viewpoint Blick zum grünen See.
The path ahead leads for some time along a gentle cart track, where we pass a few information boards. When the cart track ends, we pass through a strip of forest and then arrive at an older clearing, from which a beautiful view opens up. The path ahead returns to the forest, and we traverse the slopes to the left, mostly ascending gently to moderately, with occasional slight descents. When we reach the indistinct ridge of the mountain Messnerin in this area, we arrive at the inscription box for Kamplriedel.
From here, we can continue left toward the viewpoint Blick zum grünen See, which is a minute of moderate descent away.
