OMP Kuzma - Sotinski breg (Kugla)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Rogašovci, and then we follow the signs towards Kuzma and Austria. A little before the Kuzma border crossing, we turn right towards Grad and Kuzma. Before reaching Kuzma, we turn left at the next right turn onto an unmarked side road, along which we drive to the small border crossing, where we park on the Slovenian side by the old customs cottage.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on the road in Austria, where we quickly reach a crossroad and a marked crossing at the inn Grenzgasthaus Mertschnigg, where we turn left towards Bonasna / Bonisdorf.
Further, we walk on an asphalt road which initially passes a few houses and then descends to a bridge over the main road. On the other side of the bridge, we pass a few more houses, and then the road enters the forest. Through the forest, we walk on the road for a few minutes, and then blazes guide us slightly left onto a cart track that continues through the forest. On the cart track, we ascend gently, and when the cart track reaches its highest point, we come very close to the peak Bruchen, which we bypass on the left. Next, we descend and, at the edge of the forest, reach an asphalt road, on which we continue right, heading downwards. A little further, we reach a slightly wider asphalt road, which we left earlier, and turn left; with pleasant views of the surroundings, we arrive at the settlement Bonasna, where we turn left at the fire station. Past some houses, we initially descend, and at the road sign marking the end of the settlement Bonasna, we turn right, following the signs for Stadelberg.
Next follows a steep ascent on the asphalt road, which leads us past individual houses, with increasingly beautiful views opening up, extending far towards the north and east. Higher up, the road turns sharply left; at the point where it curves back to the right, we notice the established viewpoint Stadelberg.
We continue right, and a little higher, turn right again towards the lookout tower. The path ahead leads us past the highest point of the indistinct peak Stadelberg, where a private house stands, and the asphalt road ends behind the house. A little further, we cross the national border; after that, from the crossroad at the fence made of skis, we continue straight and walk to the lookout tower on Sotinski breg, or Kugla.
