Planina Blato - Poprovec (via Planina v Lazu and through valley Dolina za Debelim vrhom)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we go to the exit Lesce and follow the road towards Bled and forward towards Bohinjska Bistrica. We continue driving towards the Lake Bohinj (Ribčev laz), where we come to the crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of Stara Fužina. In Stara Fužina at the crossroad at the chapel, we turn sharply left on an ascending road in the direction of the mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and valley Voje. The road ahead brings us to the spot, where the road toll or parking fee has to be paid, we follow it forward to the next crossroad, where we continue left (right Voje). Then we follow the road to the next crossroad (we drive for quite some time), where we turn sharply right in the direction of the mountain pasture Blato (straight mountain pasture Vogar). We follow this road to the parking lot above the mountain pasture Planina Blato.

Path description:
From the parking lot on the mountain pasture Blato we go on the road a little back to the signposts at a cart track. Here we go on a cart track which at first steeply ascends and is then moderately ascending and in ten minutes of walking, it brings us to a crossing, where we go right in the direction of the mountain pasture Planina v Lazu (left mountain pasture Planina pri Jezeru). Already after few 10 strides of additional walking, we come to the next crossing, where we continue right again on a worse cart track (straight mountain pasture Planina pri Jezeru steep path). The path ahead is moderately ascending and mostly runs through the forest. After an hour and a half of walking, the path on the mountain pasture Krstenica branches off to the right, and we continue straight in the direction of the mountain pasture Laz. The path ahead starts descending a little and then quickly brings us on the mountain pasture.
From the mountain pasture Planina v Lazu we continue on a marked path in the direction of the mountain hut Vodnikov dom and saddle Lazovški preval. The path ahead at first gently ascends on the northern part of the mountain pasture, and then passes into the forest, where it gradually starts ascending steeper. Higher the forest gets thinner, and the path for some time almost entirely flattens. Further, we are ascending on again steeper footpath which with increasingly beautiful views we follow to the already mentioned saddle.
On the saddle Lazovški preval we leave the marked path and go left in the direction towards Debeli vrh (marked with cairns). After a short ascent, we go slightly to the right on the northern side of Debeli vrh. Here we have to be careful a little, because by the path there are also some abysses. We follow cairns over slopes below the northern wall of Debeli vrh and we start descending on a quite steep terrain. After the descent, we turn to the right (towards the north), we cross the valley and then we start ascending below the western slopes of Vrh Hribaric (2388 meters). On terrain, which is marked with cairns we are still slightly ascending in the direction towards the north all the way to the saddle between Vrh Hribaric and Vršaki.
From the saddle, we continue straight towards Kanjavec. When we join the marked path we continue a little left and then on a marked (western) path on Kanjavec. The path quite steeply ascends and runs through an indistinct small valley between the eastern and western peak. On the saddle between the both peaks we leave the marked path and go left and then follows only short ascent to the western peak of Kanjavec.
From the top, we continue on a very panoramic ridge towards the west and at first, we descend a little. Further, we still walk on an undemanding ridge and we ascend to the summit of Teme.
From Teme we still walk towards the west and after a short descent and ascent, we reach the peak Poprovec.
