Access to starting point:
We leave Ljubljana eastern bypass highway at the exit Lj.-Sostro/Lj. -Bizovik and we go in the direction of Sostro. (To here we can drive also from the center of Ljubljana on the road Litijska cesta). About 700 meters from the highway - at the "Y" crossroad - we turn right in the direction of Podlipoglav. We follow this road good 4 km - through the last edges of Ljubljana, past the church of St. Lenart, through Sadinja vas and lastly to Podlipoglav. Here at the only larger crossroad, we don't continue left on the main road, but straight in the direction of Šentpavel/Brezje/Repče.

The starting point is only 200 meters ahead of this crossroad, at the end of the settlement Podlipoglav or at the turn-off of the road towards Šentpavel (some space for parking is by the turn-off or just before the bridge). To here from the bypass highway there is 5 km (and from the center of Ljubljana good 10 km).
Path description:
A note: The path on Pugled past the guard post number 1 is mostly marked, but the key spots (e.g. beginning of the path, continuation from the saddle, beginning of the descent) are not marked! At the very beginning of the path, until we step into the forest, we need the most sense for orientation. If we are standing at the turn-off for Šentpavel, Pugled is directly in front of us, on the east. From the turn-off, we short time continue by an asphalt road towards Repče and Brezje. Already after good 100 meters from the asphalt road, a worse cart track branches off to the left, a little less than 50 meters later also a macadam road. We ignore the cart track, and on the macadam road we turn left upwards. After the double turn the macadam flattens, and at the end of the plain, by the last house, we step into the forest. Here we run into the first blaze. After few ten meters of walking through the forest, a signpost and trail blaze higher point us right over the stream and steeply right upwards. Further, the path runs alternately steeper upwards and more towards the right, all the time through pine-beech forest, rich with bushes of blueberries. Because the entire hill is crisscrossed with tracks for steep cycling descents (downhill), we often meet some fast cycler. After 10 minutes of walking, we cross a more distinct old cart track (pyramid sign next to it is a sign for a downhill track). When we are done with the longest traverse to the right and right after it with the steepest section of ascent, we step on an ample broad ridge with NOB memorial (guard post number 1). Few minutes we continue on the broad ridge directly upwards; and when in front of us we notice a steep path on the western secondary peak, on the path on the right we step on a small saddle. Here is a juncture of several paths (option of combining). From the saddle to the top we have to correctly see two turn-offs, which aren't well-marked. Immediately on the saddle, we shouldn't follow the arrow which seem that it is pointing us to the summit directly on a well visible traces of downhill descents; instead of this, we have to turn around the upper pyramid almost horizontally to the right, on a very wide path (almost a cart track). After about 50 meters, when we come from the distinct southwestern outside corner, we twice turn left and on the outside corner steeply upwards. In few minutes of a direct ascent, we step on the summit. If we use the described path for a descent, the beginning of the descent isn't marked. We simply go on a well-beaten footpath on a distinct outside corner towards the southwest steeply downwards. A note: On the summit of Pugled since the April 2019 there is a pole with a flag. A smaller clearing on the western edge of the peak provides a view on Ljubljana Basin, with Julian Alps and Šmarna gora at the back.
