Prevalje pod Krimom - Žalostna gora at Preserje

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana–Koper highway, take the Brezovica exit, then continue driving in the direction of Podpeči. In Podpeči, from where roads from Črna vas and Ig also join, continue right in the direction of Krim, Rakitna and Borovnica. Further on, drive along the main road which runs along the edge of the Ljubljana Moor. Further, drive through the outskirts of Kamnik pod Krimom, where you cross the railway track. After the track, the road turns slightly to the left, and we drive along it to the next intersection, where a road to the village Prevalje pod Krimom branches off to the left. Take the mentioned road, which quickly brings us to the mentioned village. In the middle of the village, turn left, then drive to the end of the settlement, where notice the chapel and next to it the beginning of an unmarked path to Žalostna gora. At the starting point, there are no appropriate parking spots.
B) From the Koper–Ljubljana highway, take the Vrhnika exit, then continue driving in the direction of Bistra and Borovnica. From Borovnica, continue on the road in the direction of Kamnik pod Krimom; we drive on the main road to the end of the settlement Goričica pod Krimom. At the end of the settlement, leave the main road and continue driving right in the direction of the village Prevalje pod Krimom. After a short ascent, arrive at the mentioned village, and drive to the end of the village, where on the left side of the road notice a chapel and next to it the beginning of an unmarked path to Žalostna gora. At the starting point, there are no appropriate parking spots.

Path description:
By the chapel we notice the beginning of a rough cart track which starts ascending moderately steep grassy slopes. A little higher, the cart track turns slightly to the left and ascends to the edge of the forest. Here the path first turns left, then immediately right. Further, we ascend through the forest on a gradually steeper path. A little higher we will notice a fence on the right side, which can help us with the ascent (undemanding). When the fence ends, the path flattens and brings us to the church of Our Lady of Sorrows on Žalostna gora.
