Ravenska Kočna - Grintovec (umik Žrela and on Kremžarjeva pot)

Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, take the Kranj - East exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Jezersko. In Zgornje Jezersko, just a little behind the gas station, we will notice a road which branches off to the right from the main road (direction Planšarsko jezero). The road then leads us past the mentioned lake and behind it steeply ascends for a short time. Higher, the road flattens and at the beginning of a large meadow loses the asphalt surface. We then follow the macadam road to a marked larger parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the macadam road following the signs »Češka koča, Ledine« and after approximately 15 minutes of walking, we come to a cargo cableway.
From the cargo cableway we continue following the signs for Kranjska koča na Ledinah (through Žrelo, Slovenska pot) and Češka koča (umik Žrela). At first for a short time, we walk through the forest, then the path brings us to grassy terrain which is partly covered with dwarf pines. Here the path turns slightly to the left and then ascends diagonally past sparse dwarf pines, later across scree. Such a path brings us to a junction. We turn right where the sign »Češka koča« on the rock directs us. Left leads the path to Koča na Ledinah (Slovenska pot, through Žrelo).
The path begins to ascend diagonally towards Češka koča (southwest). Later, the path turns slightly to the left and brings us across a slope partly covered with dwarf pines to a junction below steep walls. We continue right towards Češka koča, left leads the path through Žrelo to Ledine. The path then gradually becomes somewhat more demanding and for most of the time, with the aid of steel cables, crosses a slightly exposed slope towards the west. A short exposed crossing under rock overhangs follows, then the path becomes easier and soon brings us to Češka koča along sparse dwarf pines.
From the hut, we continue right on the path towards Kočna, Grintovec and Vratca (left Kranjska koča through Žrelo). After a short ascent, we reach flat ground marked H (intended for helicopter landing). The path continues across initially gentle scree partly overgrown with dwarf pines. In the lower part of the scree, the path to Vratca branches right, while we continue straight towards Kočna and Grintovec. After about half an hour from the hut, we reach the next junction. We continue right towards Kočna (left Grintovec via Mlinarsko sedlo) and continue ascending partly vegetated scree to Zgornje Ravni. At Zgornje Ravni, the path turns sharply right and ascends over the scree. Higher, the path, continuing to turn right, brings us to the side ridge of the central Grintovci. Here a nice view opens to the north, where we can clearly see most of the peaks surrounding Jezersko. Here, where we turn sharply left, the climbing section of the path begins. A well-protected and in dry conditions not overly demanding climbing path with fine views and past a natural window we will notice on the right side, after almost three hours from Češka koča, brings us to the main ridge of the Grintovci (Zdolška škrbina), where there is a junction. We continue left towards Grintovec (right Jezerska Kočna) on the path which remains technically demanding. The relatively well-protected path then brings us higher to the next junction, where we continue right towards the summit of Grintovec (left Mlinarsko sedlo). We follow this panoramic and occasionally quite exposed path to the summit.
