Studeno - Gora (Sveti Lovrenc)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Postojna. Further, we drive towards Postojna and the road brings us to a crossroad, where we continue right towards Ljubljana (old road). Near the church in Postojna we turn left in the direction of village Studeno. We follow this road to the mentioned village in the middle of which we notice older sign for Lovrenc. Here we turn left on a narrower road which is ascending among houses. We follow this road few 100 meters to a parking lot by the beginning of the footpath on Lovrenc.

Path description:
Few meters away from the parking lot we notice a sign for Sveti Lovrenc, which points us through a meadow at first slightly upwards. And soon the path goes into a pine forest, where it is gradually steeper and steeper ascending. A little higher forest is becoming thinner and from the path increasingly beautiful views opening up. Towards west we notice slope of Nanos, and behind us we clearly see Postojna basin and Javornik. The path which runs on a slope straight upwards leads us among pastures so that with orientation in spite of lack of blazes there aren't any problems. This nice panoramic path quickly brings us to the church of St. Lovrenc where the path turns left in the forest. Next follows five minutes of ascent through the forest to the top, where again a nice view opens up.
