Tourist farm Žurej - Žusem (Panoramska pot - stara trasa)

Access to starting point:
We leave the highway LJ-MB at the exit Dramlje and we drive towards Šentjur. In Šentjur we go towards Kozje, Gorica pri Slivnici. In Gorica at the roundabout we go towards Sveti Štefan, Loka, Podčetrtek. Further, we drive along the lake Slivniško jezero (approx 3 km-straight past the turn-off for Sveti Štefan), at the next crossroad we turn right towards Ječovo, Dobrina, Hrastje. After approx. 500 meters we get to Tourist Farm Žurej (the first farm by the road - Javorje 32, Gorica pri Slivnici).

Path description:
We begin the hike at Tourist farm Žurej-Ječovo. Through a nice valley Javorska dolina, where according to folk tradition they planted the first potato in Slovenia, we cross river Voglajna, and we turn left into the forest. The marked path leads us past the watering place. We continue through the forest, where with some luck we can find a lot of species of mushrooms. We get to the first harder ascent: »Kurčev hrib«. This part of the path is especially breathtaking in spring, in the time of a traditional hike. Next follows a descent, and the path brings us to »Grofov štant«, where we can join the steep, very demanding path, or we continue right on the road, to the farm Užmah. Here mountaineers are always welcome and well served. A breathtaking view opens up on the valley below us, and a view reaches up to Kamnik Savinja Alps, Pohorje, Boč, Donačka gora. After 15 minutes of walking, we get to »pušnšank« Užmah, and we continue on a cart track to a small old cottage, where we turn left on a macadam road. After ten minutes of the macadam, we turn left uphill and through a smaller chestnut forest we get to the famous fields »Ravne njive«. Here used be farm Lipovšek, but Germans during the war burned it down. There are left only foundations and a smaller hayrack, where we can rest. The German aggressor was also resisted by the mighty linden tree, which still stands today. We continue on flat terrain, left past Veliki Špiček (669 meters). We follow the blazes and after 10 minutes of walking, we get to the peak - to the spot, where they will build the Tower of Love.
