Žerovinci (Dom krajanov in gasilcev Žerovinci) - Kogel (Litmerk)

Access to starting point:
From Ormož we drive towards Ljutomer or vice versa, and when we get to the settlement Žerovinci we drive to the Dom krajanov in gasilcev, where we park.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue towards the southwest, where we go past Dom krajanov in gasilcev Žerovinci and a chapel, and after crossing the railway track we go left. For a short time we continue parallel to the railway, and then we continue on the road which turns right and ascends into the forest. Higher, we leave the forest and continue below the route of a high voltage power line, where the road for some time flattens, and then past a few houses we ascend to a crossroad, where we cross another power line. Here we go left, and a few 100 m ahead at the next crossroad we go right, both times in the direction of the marked path. In a gentle descent, we continue past a few houses, and when we are already ascending we go left on a side road, to which the blazes direct us. After a short ascent we again start descending, and when the priority road turns right we go straight, where the path leads past the last houses in the hamlet as well. After the last house the road ends, and we start descending on a grassy cart track which lower down at the vineyard ends. Behind the vineyard we go right to the edge of the forest, where we then continue the descent following the rare blazes. After a few minutes of descent, we reach an asphalt road, where we go right in the direction towards Kostanj and Ormož (to the left leads the road to Ivanjkovci), and at the nearby chapel we go left on a side road. The side road quickly splits, and we continue straight in the direction of the connecting path towards Ormož (right - Kostanj).
The road which leads towards the nearby ponds we quickly leave because signs for Ormož direct us to the left (straight - ponds; caution private land).
When we leave the road we cross a smaller bridge, and then through a meadow we walk to the forest, through which we first ascend more steeply, higher more gently. A little further, we reach an asphalt road, on which we continue a gentle ascent, and still before we leave the forest we get to the turn-off, where to the left a path a little less than 5 minutes long branches off towards the monument (hiding place for horses during the 2nd World War), and we continue straight.
When we leave the forest we get to a crossroad, by which there is a cross and next to it a bench, and from the crossroad we continue left. For a few minutes we continue on an asphalt road, and then blazes from the road direct us slightly to the left, on a cart track which past the house and the field in a moderate ascent brings us to the chapel of the Holy Family.
At the chapel, we return to the asphalt road and continue through the settlement Runeč, and a little further we go slightly left in the direction of Ormož. Next follows a short descent on the asphalt road, then before the last house we turn right downwards, descending by the vineyard, and lower down we pass under two power lines. Lower down, between two houses, we reach an asphalt road and a few steps further the valley, where at several successive crossroads we follow the blazes. After the crossroads, we start ascending, and higher up we arrive at the upper part of the settlement Stanovno, where we turn right at the chapel. Next follow a few short ascents and descents, and at several crossroads we follow the blazes. After some time, we turn slightly left onto a slightly narrower marked road, which quickly leads us up to Kogel.
